Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams has had a good year so far, but a recent event may have shaken that up as the NFL player was reportedly robbed while at an Airbnb house in Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old Super Bowl champion had reportedly just checked into an expensive home in Los Angeles this past Saturday night when three people broke into the house via a back door. Cops said the men who broke into the spot surrounded the football player and his crew. Despite not showing a weapon, the robbers made it clear that if money wasn't given up, there would be an issue. It was noted that Williams was not hurt at all, but the robbers got away with $1,000 cash. So far, the police haven't found the suspects but described them as three African-American men.
Police are currently investigating and are looking to see if any surveillance footage is available. A rep for Williams noted the player is just fine as of now. Stay tuned for more details in this situation.
